Mason 2nd Birthday

I can't believe my baby Mason is already 2 years old.  Makes me a little sad after this past weekend after setting up his big boy bed, the crib is officially down and in the garage.  He had a great birthday weekend with his family and friends and of course everyone spoiled him rotten.  Little guy is obsessed with trains, trucks, tractors bascially anything that moves.

He went for his 2 year check up yesterday and he is growing like a "Grivna" grows.  37.6 pounds and 37 3/4 inches tall.  The doctor told us to sign him up for allergy testing which we figured was going to happen after we went to the ER twice over the past year for allergy related problems.

Very blessed to have healthy, happy, crazy kiddos!!  I know it's been a while since I blogged, don't like the new format on blogspot.

Strawberry Picking 2012

Last year when we went strawberry picking Mason wasn't walking yet and just chilled in his stroller, not this year.  He was all over it, he and Ella picked and picked and picked.  They both had a blast and we were even able to get a couple into our bucket without going to the mouth first.  I can't wait to do it next year!

My Bubby :(

My little bubby Mason is scheduled to have tubes put in his ears this Thursday, March 22nd at 6:30 am. We are currently on our 6th antiobiotic since mid December and no change. Poor guy might actually be able to hear better. I hate it when the kids after surgery. I know everything will be ok but it makes me a nervous wreck.

Ella had a birthday party for Alex Egan yesterday afternoon and had so much fun. The theme was Wizard of Oz (my mom's favorite - hee hee). Ella even came home with a gift. The girls did a gift exchange and it worked out really well, definitely will have to keep that in mind for future parties. This is Ella with her friend Giavonni.

U of L vs. UCONN

I know we are probably crazy but we are taking both kids to the U of L women's basketball game tonight vs. UCONN. I am meeting Mark and the kiddos there since I will already be downtown so good thing is that we will have 2 cars. After dinner for Mason I just don't think he will be keeping much interest, especially since he will need to sit somewhat still. I originally planned for a baby sitter for him tonight but Mark thinks he can handle it. We'll see. I'll make sure to take some pictures of the family decked out in our cards gear!

Had a little scare last night. I told Mason it was time for bed and he ran from me and went into Ella's room and tried to hide behind her door. I guess he is too fast for his own good because he was wearing jammies & socks and slid on the hardwood floors banging his head on her door. He immediately had a goose egg on the side of his head and Mark and I had to both attempt to put ice on it. Not fun or easy with a crying baby. It went down some before bed and then this morning is just a little bump and I'm sure he is going to have a headache today. I remember when Ella did it she was stil at the daycare and she looked like a unicorn but everything was fine.

Had such a good time with the kids this weekend. Movie night with the kids, board games, barbies and hide & seek. Yesterday I met my basketball friends from college and all of their girls at McDonalds for lunch and then all of our girls played, then went for Gigi's cupcakes and then off to the movie theater to see Beauty & the Beast 3D. We had so much fun and when I asked Ella what her favorite part was..."the cupcake mommy."

When Ella and I came into the house I don't think there was a toy that hadn't been touched by Mason & Mark. We ate dinner which Mason really enjoyed and then played hide & seek again. Ella was hiding at one point and I was trying to find her and Mason was following me yelling for her. So cute! By the way you may not think so by his side but Mark maybe one of the ultimate hide and seek players.

Week of January 9, 2012

Show Mason is trying really hard to say a lot more words. Last weekend he tried for duck and it came out "uck." Very cute. This morning he was saying car over and over. He is growing up way to fast.

Ms. Cheri was asking Ella what she would like for her birthday and she told her she wanted a potty that she could stand up and pee just like daddy. She is so funny, I love this age!

We are off to see a new school tomorrow for Ella to attend Prek. I told him this morning and we had a little melt down on how she didn't want to go to a new school. Sorry honey if you want to stay at St. James for full time you need to start looking for a job. Very good school and I have heard nothing but good from everyone and it is close to Elaine's.

How happy are our babies that we took them to Chuck E. Cheese's on Monday when we were off work for the New Year.
