Don't know if we forgot to set the alarm or one of us got up in our sleep and turned it off but luckily Mark woke up at 6:15 this morning. It was very hard dropping off my little angel this morning because I won't see her until Sunday. First weekend away from her...this is going to be tough weekend all around.

Ella got to go shopping at Dick's Sporting Goods yesterday with Mark. I asked Mark when he got home if he had to carry her through the store or if she walked and stayed with him...she held his hand the entire time. If you did not already know we have had some issues with this. She becomes so excited and shop obsessed that she turns into a mad women. Anyway, Mark was in the checkout with her and all of a sudden she screams daaadaaaa!!!! Everyone stops and looks at them and he looks at Ella what is it....she saw his van through the front window of the store.

Missing Daddy

Ella asked for her Daddy all weekend. He left Friday afternoon to go to Green Bay with Jason. So Ella went from Thursday night to Monday night before seeing her Daddy. He picked her up from Elaine's yesterday and was talking to Elaine's husband outside and Ella could her his voice inside the house and just started crying hysterically. She missed her Daddy!!:) What a cutie!! The picture is adorable even with the black eye. The black eye was from several weeks ago. She was pulling books off the shelf and out came What Makes a Rainbow, and oh how it made a rainbow on her pretty little face. She's all healed up now though.

18 months

Took Ella for her 18 month checkup today: 35.8 lbs (above 95% percentile) and 35.25 inches tall (above 95% percentile) - height may be questionable who can get an 18 month to stand still but their definitely wasn't any doubt about what percentile she was in. Growing like a weed!!

Mark went to Green Bay with Jason for the Packers/Browns preseason game. Kept getting text messages from him during the game finally I asked him about the game and the only response was "The Browns Suck." Apparently they didn't do so hot this weekend. Ella and I had a lot of quality mommy & daughter time this weekend. The key word in that sentence is "mommy." Instead of momma it is now mommy and I think I heard it about 1,000 times this weekend. Saturday she played her little heart out. We swam in the backyard. She went nonstop from the sandbox to the pool to the swing for a good hour. She played so hard we had to have a bath before lunch to get the glued sand off of her. Yesterday not as graceful. Poor thing was tripping over air. She feel down yesterday every time I looked over. After dinner we put on pj's and went for ice cream. I got her the smallest cup of vanilla soft serve and brought it home. I went to give it to her and she kept shaking her head and saying no. Oh no child you want this....she finally got a bite and then kept asking for more.

Tired

I can honestly say that Ella wore me out this weekend. Friday we went over to the Padget's for a cookout and her and Jackson played very well together. You would have thought this would have knocked her out Friday night. Nope she was up several times and I got up around 7:00 am to go and help Elaine set up her daughter's reception and I could her up and ready to go. She did take a 2 hour nap Saturday afternoon which did not seem to help much when we were at the reception since she proceeded to through some pretty ridiculous fits. Her best bud, Jacob was there, and they got to run around and dance a little together. We went for a long walk on Sunday morning together and she went to Target with me. She keeps throwing these fits (terrible 2's right?) and she was rubbing her eyes after lunch and so she fought with me to take a nap. After screaming for 15 minutes she slept maybe 45 minutes. Mark wasn't feeling good yesterday so when she got up we went swimming at Haley's. She absolutely loved it and it showed when she fell asleep during her story last night at 7:30.
