Girls Weekend

So Mark went to Atlanta for a big guys weekend and Ella and I were left to party by ourselves. We kept pretty busy all weekend. Friday night Trista came over so I could have an hour to myself at the grocery. Prior to leaving I got Ella ready for bed and poor thing had the worst diaper rash I have ever seen. We called "The Master" to find out any additional remedies for this (sorry Aunt Kristin for screaming in your ear - love Ella). I barely touched her and she screamed bloody murder and basically cried herself to sleep. After that excitement I was off to the store. The only good thing about going at this time is that there is nobody there but then usually there is only one lane open for checkout so I decided to go through the self-check. BAD IDEA!!! Never again I would rather wait in a line 10 people deep before doing the self-check again. I think a little message popped up after I scanned every other item saying "wait for attendant." When I got home I must have been very energetic or still pissed off from the checkout because I cleaned 3 packages of chicken and divided it up for freezing and reorganized the pantry so I could find everything.

I called the pediatrician on Saturday morning and asked if there was a magical butt cream. There solution and it seems to be working so far:

- no wipes, should use a soft paper towel with baby oil on it
- after clean put antibiotic ointment
- then put Vaseline on it

She has the slickest butt I have ever seen, but it worked!! I signed Ella up for a FREE class at Gymboree also on Saturday. She ran around and played her little heart out for the 45 minute class. Towards the end she had enough. I'm sure that is why their classes only last 45 minutes. She had just fallen asleep in the car when we got home so she of course woke up when I got her out of the car. After lunch she took a 3 hour nap. Of yes everyone that is not a typo and it is a first and loved every minute of it. I know I should have gotten everything done but my lazy butt sat and dozed on the couch. It was wonderful for both of us. The best part was that she still went to be at 8:00 like usual.

Sunday we just bummed around and played outside. We did have to make an emergency run to Target because we had an injury/death in the family. One of Ella's babies is missing some limbs. The other one is starting to smell also. So we had to purchase a new family member. She held the box through the entire store.

Mark got home real late last night and bought Ella and I both some new shoes from the Nike outlet on his way back.
